Alumni Registration Time is Here, with Important Updates

Why should you register as an Alumni?

The Institute is encouraging all Cisco graduates to register as members of the Alumni as early as possible. Students who do not register as alumni will lose access to Academy Connection soon after leaving the classroom if they are not enrolled in a subsequent class. That means they’ll no longer be able to access the Course Materials to study for certification or re-certification.

Who is eligible to register and what’s new?

Students who are eligible to register have passed any core course such as ITE or any CCNA course.

With the launch of CCNA® Discovery and CCNA Exploration, plus updates to IT Essentials: PC Hardware and Software, there have also been changes to the Cisco certification exams. Alumni privileges now include access to Course Materials (for courses previously passed) in both CCNA Exploration and CCNA Discovery, even if the passed courses appear in the recently retired CCNA 3.1 curriculum.

As alumni members, students will continue to have permanent access to the most current versions of these curricula which map to the new certifications including the recently launched Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician (CCENTTM), as well as the most recent version of Cisco Packet Tracer, downloadable from Alumni Connection.

If you are eligible, please register as soon as the Alumni Home link appears on your Student home page on Academy Connection in the left hand navigation area, and ensure that your passing grades are marked in the Online Gradebook. Registration is fast and easy.
