The University Council of Jamaica has announced that the institute's Associate Degree In Computer Systems Technology has been granted accreditation status.
Following on its accreditation visit in November 2007, the council of the UCJ approved the recommendations of the visiting team to accredit the programme. The UCJ functions as the sole accreditation body in Jamaica and is governed by its mandate in assuring quality in tertiary education. Part of its responsibility includes the granting and conferral of degrees, diplomas or certificates for accredited programmes and to register tertiary institutions that have met the required educational standards.
